Chestny Znak – Mandatory Digital Marking in Russia
Chestny Znak (Честный Знак) is the national product marking and tracking system in the Russian Federation, introduced to ensure full control over the origin, authenticity, and quality of goods. By integrating the Chestny Znak code into production and packaging lines, companies ensure full transparency and brand protection, while also strengthening consumer trust.
Each product receives a unique digital code that enables authorities and consumers to track its entire journey. For exporters to Russia, product marking through Chestny Znak is not optional, but a legal requirement. Failure to comply with this regulation may result in a sales ban or product withdrawal from the market.
