MEYER optical sorting machines
Optical sorter for safety, quality and efficiency
The first step towards a safe and high-quality food product starts with raw materials. Despite the use of mechanical sieving and aspiration, raw materials may still contain unwanted impurities. The solution is the optical sorter from Meyer, a state-of-the-art sorting technology with high precision and a capacity of 0.5 to 3 t/h.
Real-time contamination detection
Meyer optical systems identify unwanted materials such as glass, plastic, stones, as well as damaged and infected grains. They are equipped with:
- High-resolution cameras that distinguish color and shape of raw materials
- Infrared imaging systems that detect low-contrast contaminants
- Full-spectrum lighting systems for precise visual analysis
Based on the morphology of the material, the system automatically separates high-quality raw materials from impurities, without the need for manual adjustment. The use of Maglev ejectors and precision algorithms enables sorting even of the smallest seeds, such as TEFF.
The sorter is suitable for cereals, seeds, legumes, dried fruits and vegetables. In addition to the food industry, it is also used in plastic recycling, metal recycling, and the processing of complex materials.
