Welding

Trim d.o.o. is the official general representative of the German company “AUGUST STRECKER GmbH & Co. KG”, which has been present in the cable industry for more than 85 years as one of the world leaders in the production of equipment and systems for butt welding of wires (butt welding machines). Strecker machines can be used for welding a wide range of materials such as copper, brass, aluminium, steel, titanium, stainless steel and other materials according to customer requirements, as well as various forms – wire diameters from 0.04 mm up to 60 mm, stranded conductors and flat profiles with cross-sections from 0.08 mm² up to 2,800 mm², copper tubes, strips, rings, etc.

Depending on the welding technology and process characteristics, two types of equipment are available:

  • Equipment for butt resistance (electric resistance) welding, and
  • Equipment for cold pressure welding (without electric current or flux).

In addition, depending on production requirements and for welding smaller wire diameters, manual welding equipment is also available.

When it comes to the most technologically demanding processes, where precise control of wire welding parameters is required to minimize the risk of wire breakage, machines are offered with a next-generation integrated software system (V-series controllers). These systems enable real-time monitoring of the welding process and all critical parameters. Thanks to these controllers, the influence of the human factor on the welding process is reduced to a minimum, thereby significantly lowering the possibility of errors.

For the quality of the final product, as well as to maximize production speed and prevent unexpected stoppages in the manufacturing process, the tensile strength of the weld is of great importance, along with proper treatment of the welded area. For this reason, Strecker welding equipment ensures a weld tensile strength of up to 100% and also offers the option of automatic post-weld processing of the weld area after the welding process is completed.

Such equipment performance is a key reason why their application is not limited only to the cable industry, but is widely used across other industrial sectors as well.

The automotive industry, tire manufacturing, construction industry (production of reinforcement meshes and welding of steel wires for prestressed concrete), and many others.
