X-ray Inspection of Canned Products

Typical applications include baby food, ready meals, fish and seafood, meat, fruit and vegetables, pet food, and beverages.
X-ray systems detect glass, metal, mineral stones, high-density plastic, and calcified bone inside canned products. Detecting physical contaminants located at the bottom or side walls of cans can be challenging, especially if the can has a ribbed side wall.
With an X-ray system, this challenge can be easily overcome. The X-ray system captures each can twice. Each image provides a different viewing angle, increasing inspection coverage inside the container and improving the probability of contaminant detection.
